Established in 2018, Spirit Lab is a professional manufacturer and exporter of cine lenses with original design, development and production. We are located in Shanghai, a city with top-innovation. Till now, we have accomplished the design and production of a whole lineup of cine prime lenses, two cine zooms and an anamorphic zoom lens. Spirit Lab Optics is the umbrella brand that encompasses Spirit Lab "秀" (Xiu) Series, Spirit Lab "飒" (Sa) Series, Pure First "韵" (Yun) Series, and more coming products. The outstanding features of the lenses include: full frame, no breathing, no distortion, smooth bokeh and compact body, which means, owners have no need to worry about future’s format challenge; they capture what they see; and that it’s easy to film in a narrow space. Generally, the lenses are endowed with a quite neutral style that offers much convenience to post-production. 

With such extraordinary features, Spirit Lab has been chosen by famous cinematographers like Boxue Wang, Edmond Fung (HKSC) from China, and Goof de Koning from the Netherlands, who have used Spirit Lab lens in the later known as box office smashers My People, My Country, The Captain and Project Gio respectively, among which The Captain was awarded with the “Gold Crane Awards” at 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival, 2019.
